How to Travel from Thailand to Myanmar

Flight

Many airlines now operate daily flight from Bangkok to Yangon. You will find comfortable class seat with Thai Airways or Bangkok Airs while Air Asia offers very cheap price starting from $ 50 / person/ 1 way. 
Besides the flight Yangon - Bangkok, there are other routes that you should consider for an onward travel :
Chiang Mai - Yangon by Mai Air and Nok Air
Phuket - Yangon flight by Thai Airways and Nok Air as well. 
All flights are direct. 

Border Crossing

One of the most popular ways to enter Myanmar from Thailand is to corss one of these border gates : Mae Sot/Myawady, Mae Sai/Tachileik ,Phunaron (for Kanchanaburi)/Htee Kee and Ranong/Kawthaung.
Please note that you will need the Myanmar Visa to cross all these borders. There is no Exception for this rule and the visa must be issued by Embassy, can not be obtained online or on arrival. However, to cross from Myanmar to Thailand, you may not need visa since Thailand visa policy is totally different
